The Cullis Wade Depot is a newly constructed facility at Mississippi State University located next to Scott Field. This building contains a new Barnes & Nobles book store and clock museum. This facility incorporates numerous large storefront and curtainwall openings to provide a very open and inviting atmosphere. The storefront and curtainwall systems were provided by U.S. Aluminum. The Owner, Architect, General Contractor, and Sub-contractors worked closely to complete this project on time and in budget. The Cullis Wade Depot is the newest completed structure at Mississippi State University and is an excellent example of accomplishment for all who were involved from development and design to project completion. The arched curtainwall openings located at the top of the clock tower allow an abundance of natural light to spill into the entire clock museum. The large storefront openings located throughout the Barnes & Nobles book store provide customers with a breath taking view of the beautiful landscaping and patios located on the exterior of the building. The high performance low-e glass located throughout the building helps to prevent solar heat gain.
