Project Summary

Colvard Student Union at Mississippi State University received a 17 month renovation/expansion. The Student Union serves as the central hub for university community affairs. Colvard Union has a very distinguished look with its clean lines and symmetric shapes. The curtain wall framing for this project was custom manufactured specifically for this project. This framing runs 2 and 3 floors high across the front of the building. The numerous curtain wall frames allow for a very well lit and welcome atmosphere. It also allows for a very spacious feeling as well as energy efficient common area once inside the building.
The curtain wall and storefront framing and the doors for this project were provided by Vistawall of Terrell, TX in a bone white finish. The glass was an insulated gray tinted glass provided by Wholesale Glass Distributors of Memphis, TN. The color contrast between the framing and glass help toward the Union’s distinguished look.
Thanks to everyone involved, this project was completed on time and in budget.
