Project Summary

American Eurocopter is a newly constructed manufacturing facility for helicopters. This facility is located in Columbus, MS. Kawneer supplied the storefront, sunshade and curtainwall material. The glass was 1” arctic blue supplied by Wholesale Glass Distributors. The all glass entrances and glass wall material was supplied by ACI Distribution. The Owner, Architect, General Contractor, and Sub-contractors worked very closely to complete this project on time and in budget as there was a critical deadline and heavy penalties due to tax credits involved.
American Eurocopter has a dining facility that is a complete circle of curtain wall and two levels of sunshades. Each sunshade had to be individually cut and mitered to fit the radius wall. On the roof above is a 6” x 12” railing that had to be splayed to match the sunshade curvature below it. The custom fabrication and installation was achieved by the cooperation and dedication of all employees. The front entrance is all glass with ½” glass surrounding it. This project was excellently coordinated by all involved. We are very proud of all of the dedicated employees involved on this project. This project won honorable mention for the 2007 ABC Merit Awards.
